The Games

There have been many deaths and there aren’t much of them left. Katniss and Rue, who is the girl who helped her when she had does wasp effects and they have now formed an alliance against the other. The plan they made was to explode all their supplies. But the outcome of it caused three deaths, the guy who has in care of the supplies, a guy who appeared out of the woods and Rue… She was trapped on a net and when she tried to scape with Katniss the guy from the woods theirs a spear at her and killed her. Later on an announcement says that there can be two victors but they have to be from the same district. Katniss goes looking for Peeta and founds him in some kind of camouflage near the river and he was heart. They go to a cave where now Katniss takes care of Peeta. Then they are looking for food when the Managers of the game place some wild animals in the forest and make Katniss and Peeta go to the storage room which is in a big deserted place where they fight Cato and win. After that the rule that there could be two winners was revoked, so Katniss took some poisonous berries and was going to share them with Peeta so they both die. The Managers of the game needed a winner so they let them both win.

While reading the book something that got in my mind was when Peeta said, “Oh, I don’t care if you see me. You’re just like the rest of my family.” When Peeta said these I got that him and Katniss had build an actual bond between them two, and maybe the love that they had faked at the beginning might had change over the games and become something real. Also, I see that Peeta wants Katniss to know how much she means to him.

Another quote that I put thought to while reading was when they revoked the rule of having two victors and Katniss and Peeta are about to eat the berries. “One. Maybe I’m wrong. Two. Maybe they don’t care if we both die. Three. It’s too late to change my mind. I lift my hand up to my mouth, taking one last look at the world. The berries have just passed my lips when the trumpets began to blare. Claudius Templesmith shouts the to stop.” This made me thing because what if they didn’t care and they both die or what if he screamed them to stop to late? This as in many other situations showed how smart and creative that Katniss is, how bright she is and how much courage she has to put her live in danger in order to save two.

This part of the book has been my favorite so far because it had love between Katniss and Peeta, the guy from Rue’s district saved Katniss, Cato died, Katniss and Peeta where willing to killed themselves to mess with the managers of the game and most specially I liked it because of the message that I received that was, life might get complicated and people will want you to fail, but as long as you are determine for what you want and you fight for it, you will get it.
